Just as most of us never consider ourselves part of the problem while sitting in traffic, we also tend to think of ourselves as good drivers and everyone else as bad ones. But is it true?
Fender-benders and other minor accidents are incredibly common, but in the grand scheme of things it’s actually amazing that there aren’t more of them — millions of cars are out on the roads doing just fine every day. It could be that truly bad drivers are fairly rare but draw so much attention to themselves as to seem like a more common problem than they really are — at least until they’re cutting you off in rush-hour traffic.
