It seems unlikely that a board with the ability to connect users with the dead would be sold by Hasbro, but that doesn’t mean some people don’t swear that the planchette totally moved by itself.
The humble Ouija board (which received its moniker after its inventor asked the spirit he was speaking with to name it by spelling out a word) and its precursors have been around in one form or another for centuries, with spiritualists trusting in their supposed abilities all the while as skeptics rolled their eyes. Most religions warn against them, which only increases their allure for certain occult-curious practitioners — but is it merely a lark or something with true power?
