You can never be too careful…or can you? Depending on how cautious a person you are, keeping raw meat in its own bag far from your other groceries either seems like common sense or overkill.
Though most of what you buy at the supermarket is already sealed, meaning the risk of cross-contamination is minor for most items, “better safe than sorry” is a phrase for a reason. It might seem like a waste of a bag, especially for those of you who are more eco-friendly, but that’s probably still preferable to spreading germs.
