It’s a mix of all three, of course, but which do you see more of when you gaze into the flames?

If one were to imagine the average fire, it would usually be yellow at its center and give way to reds and oranges the further it expands — whether confined to a fireplace, lighting up the screen in a spectacle-driven movie, or providing warmth in a campfire. No two fires burn in exactly the same way, and one person’s eyes might be more drawn to another hue than another, but is this merely a matter of perspective or does one color really dominate the average conflagration?
