If it’s the latter, here’s a pro tip some people overlook: There’s an arrow on your fuel gauge indicating which side your gas tank is on. Some of us drive more than others, of course, and the more often we have to refuel the more likely we are to remember this every time. Getting out of the car only to realize you parked on the wrong side and have to move to a different pump is never fun, but at least no one else noticed you do it. Probably.
