More and more transactions are either digital or card-only, but some people still prefer to have some cold, hard cash on them.
Plenty of businesses remain cash-only — certain bars and restaurants, not to mention babysitters — and no one likes having to run to an ATM at the last minute. Lots of us grew up with the idea that you should always have at least some money on you in case of emergencies, however, and that kind of thinking is hard to forget. The number of establishments that fall into that category is shrinking, though, and you may be more likely to forget that $20 bill in your wallet than you are to use it anytime soon.
