It’s sometimes difficult to remember how much good exists, especially now that the 24/7 news cycle has so much of our attention, but it’s still out there.
So is the bad, to be fair. History is rife with tragedy, as are the daily headlines, which can make it hard to stay upbeat and focus on the positive. Once you do, though, you might be overwhelmed by the beauty of it all: small acts of kindness, life-saving philanthropy, and other moments that, as the saying goes, restore your faith in humanity. Maybe it’s all a matter of perspective; if there’s no way to measure all this, what really matters is what we focus on and choose to accentuate.
