Decades after the term was popularized by a certain “Seinfeld” episode, re-gifting remains a more popular practice than some of us would like to admit.
On one hand, it’s fairly harmless if you’re the only one who knows about it; on the other, it does show a lack of appreciation for the original gift in question. Even if you don’t like a present, isn’t it good manners to make the most of it? Some of you will say yes, while others may argue that it’s better for a gift to find a good home — even if it isn’t the one it was intended for. Maybe it’s only a problem when you re-gift something just to get rid of it and not because you think the person you’re giving it to will actually enjoy it.
