Like a lot of similar questions — see also the soda-versus-pop debate — this one is sure to be influenced by where you’re from, as different regions have different names for the sandwich in question. And while Subway’s status as the most prominent restaurant chain that specializes in them would appear to tilt things in favor of calling them “subs,” the likes of Jimmy John’s and Jersey Mike’s might just balance them out. We can debate the best toppings once we figure out what to call them.
