Some of us are so in tune with our biological clock that we don’t even need an alarm, while others need several. Where do you land?
For some in the former camp, it isn’t just intuition that causes them to rise early — it’s anxiety about being late. Heavy sleepers may share this nervousness, but it isn’t always enough to help them overcome their body’s innate fondness for slumbering as long as possible. (Hibernating bears can surely relate.) Lucky for them that there’s no limit to how many alarms can be set or how many times the snooze button can be hit.
