Sometimes there’s a gap on your resume because you decided to move on from a job and sometimes it’s because a job decided to move on from you.

Maybe it was when you were a teenager and hardly working at the first job you ever had, or maybe faking it ’till you make it in a position you were never really suited for didn’t work out — no judgment here, as plenty of the world’s brightest minds have been fired before moving on to bigger and better things. It’s probably not a good thing if it keeps happening, but there’s no one right trajectory for everyone.
