We know there’s something at Area 51, otherwise it wouldn’t be so closely guarded. Whether it’s proof of alien life is harder to say.

The Air Force base in Nevada has been shrouded in secrecy since it opened in 1955, with rumors and speculation of the extraterrestrial variety popping up almost immediately. There was even a semi-serious attempt to “storm” Area 51 and find out what’s really there (“They can’t stop all of us” was the loosely affiliated group’s refrain) in 2019, though few actually showed up. The government isn’t likely to get less tight-lipped anytime soon, so the truth — whatever it may be — will remain confined to Area 51 for the foreseeable future.
