Smoking is much less common than it used to be, especially in public. Should that trend continue?

On the one hand, beaches are (obviously) outside and the smoke itself would be less bothersome to others than it would be in a restaurant, airplane, or other indoor setting. On the other, some people find being in the vicinity of cigarette smoke highly unpleasant regardless of the venue and part of living in a society is being mindful of others’ needs as well as your own. If you’ve spent time lounging under the summer sun by the ocean, surely you have a point of view on the matter.
